May I use my AP Psychology Exam score to count as part of the 14 quarter unit requirement (or 9 semester units for transfers)?

As long as you obtained a 4 or 5 on the AP Psychology Exam, we will accept that credit.

May I use transfer courses from another institution as I apply to Psi Chi?

Yes, you may. In addition to indicating this course on your application, please also attach your UCSC transcript as well as transcripts from other institutions. The latter is optional unless you just transferred to UCSC and do not have 20 UCSC psychology units.

May I use STAT 5 or STAT 7/7L to count for a psychology course?

Yes, STAT 5 and STAT 7/7L are considered equivalent to PSYC 2.

Do I submit the membership fee with my application?

No. Once you are accepted into the organization, we will follow up with more details about where and how to submit the membership payment.

I couldn’t attend the Induction Ceremony. Where can I get my certificate?

This year, membership certificates are optional due to the fact that all of our members are in different parts of the world and it would be costly to ship it to everyone. To order your membership certificate, please view the email we sent out about purchasing one to all of our official members.
